I'm an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. My research is grounded in social work practice and informed by social policy, sociology, and population research. I received my PhD in Social Work and Sociology from the University of Michigan in 2022. During my doctoral training, I was a demography trainee at the Population Studies Center in the Institute for Social Research and a collaborator with the Parenting in Context Research Lab in the School of Social Work. Prior to my doctoral training, I worked at the Center for Research on Child Wellbeing at Princeton University, where I helped facilitate the Future of Families and Child Wellbeing Study.

My research examines how family processes and social policies contribute to child and family well-being. Motivated by human rights frameworks, my primary line of research (1) examines the correlates and consequences of family violence, (2) evaluates approaches to prevent family violence, and (3) examines family processes more broadly, with an emphasis on fathers and father involvement.
